Singer, Actor...

A Brief History

Carolee was introduced to vaudeville and the songs of Tin Pan Alley
on her father’s knee; that music is in her blood. After being seen
at summer stock in Vermont, she was invited to sing on WNYC radio.
She returned to singing publicly in the 1970s and 80s, soloing at various
cabaret-style night spots in the LA area (The Spot, The Islander, 88 Keys,
The Rose Tattoo, Fogcutters,…). Also an actress, she was seen in leading
and main supporting roles in dramas and musicals at La Mirada Civic,
Friends and Artists, Ana-Modjeska Players, Garden Grove Civic, among
other theatres. She directed and produced plays, cable tv shows, and
vaudeville, and has written several songs. Carolee has made two
recordings, with a third on the way, all accompanied by Michael Orland.

Her main love was singing cabaret, which, after a few years doing
benefits on the upper Oregon coast, she again performed in Los Angeles
and Hollywood, until her unexpected and sudden death in February 2005.

She had completed recording her third album in January 2005. The CD
is in production, and should be available in the Fall of the year.
